We are seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist (Manual Tester) to play a key role throughout the entire development lifecycle—analyzing application designs, identifying risks, creating detailed test plans, and executing thorough manual and exploratory testing. In this role, you will participate in agile ceremonies, collaborate across multiple teams and projects, coordinate testing efforts, and provide clear, well-documented defect reports that help drive product quality. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of software testing experience, strong communication and documentation skills, and exposure to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Role Description

  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including grooming, sprint planning, testing sessions, and retrospectives.

  • Analyze complex applications to identify risks, testing needs, and coverage gaps.

  • Create, refine, and execute detailed manual test plans and exploratory testing charters.

  • Document findings clearly and deliver comprehensive test reports to project teams and leadership.

  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring issues are communicated effectively to development teams.

  • Coordinate testing efforts across multiple platforms, projects, and team members.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and new technologies.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards across all releases.

What you'll do

  • 4+ years of software testing experience, with strong skills in manual and exploratory testing.

  • 4+ years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and exploratory testing charters.

  • 1–2 years of exposure to automated testing (execution or collaboration with automation teams).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and professionally.

  • Excellent grammar, documentation accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and coordinate testing across teams.

  • Bonus: Experience executing automated tests, familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of BigQuery/Data Studio.

Qualifications

You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, designers, and fellow QA team members throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will participate in agile ceremonies alongside cross-functional teams and work directly with project leads to clarify requirements, discuss risks, and ensure high-quality delivery. You will also coordinate testing efforts with other QA resources across multiple applications and platforms, contributing to a supportive, fast-paced, and quality-driven engineering environment.

Who you'll work with

This position offers a competitive hourly rate, depending on experience and performance. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote role, with opportunities for growth, performance-based bonuses, and ongoing professional development. We foster a collaborative, people-centered work environment where initiative and customer excellence are valued, and you’ll have the chance to work with a U.S.-based company serving clients across multiple industries.
