We are seeking a Junior Python / Backend Developer to help build and maintain scalable backend systems that power subscription services for millions of users. In this role, you will assist in developing APIs and backend workflows that support subscription management, billing integrations, personalization, and secure authentication. Ideal candidates have a foundational understanding of Python development, API design, and DevOps practices, and are eager to grow their skills in delivering clean, reliable, and high-performance code within a collaborative, agile environment.
Role Description
· Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
· Develop and optimize RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support subscription workflows.
· Integrate with third-party platforms, including payment processors, CIAM, and CDPs.
· Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across all services.
· Collaborate with front-end teams to define API requirements and ensure efficient data flows.
· Implement automated testing, logging, and monitoring for backend services.
· Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and cross-team collaboration.
What you'll do
· 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.
· Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
· Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
· Solid understanding of database design and optimization (SQL and/or NoSQL).
· Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments (GCP or AWS).
· Experience with Git-based version control (GitHub or GitLab).
· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
