As part of our dynamic IT team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration and maintenance of our clients cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Azure. Your expertise will span across managing databases, services, infrastructure, and networking/security components, ensuring the cloud environments remain secure, reliable, and scalable.

Role Description

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management, configuration, and optimization of cloud environments, with particular focus on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake platforms.
Database Administration: Administer cloud-based databases, including but not limited to Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Snowflake, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Service Management: Manage and monitor cloud services such as Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Virtual Machines (VMs), Storage Accounts, and Snowflake Data Warehouses to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Networking & Security Administration: Configure, monitor, and manage cloud networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, and ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices.
Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform to streamline deployment processes and infrastructure management.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues across cloud services and infrastructure to ensure minimal downtime.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensure high availability and business continuity in the cloud environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and services.
Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain documentation regarding cloud infrastructure, services, and policies. Ensure adherence to best practices and continuously optimize the cloud environment for security, performance, and cost.
Cost Management: Monitor cloud service usage and spending, providing recommendations for cost optimization and resource management.

What you'll do

3-6 years in an architect, infrastructure, or cloud engineering role.
C1 grade business English (written and spoken).
Experience with Azure and Snowflake: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, AKS, etc.) and Snowflake Data Warehouse administration.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure, services, and databases in a production environment.
Networking & Security: Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, and security best practices (including Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, etc.).
Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Terraform, Azure CLI, or other similar tools.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring: Experience with cloud performance monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) and troubleshooting performance issues.
Database Management: Hands-on experience with cloud-based relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Snowflake).
Backup and Recovery: Experience implementing and managing backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions in a cloud environment.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Experience in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of data engineering, ETL processes, and data governance in a cloud environment.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Certifications (Preferred):Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent
Snowflake Certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Optional)
